Nursing in the Army Reserves

I am hoping for any information possible on the Reserves.

I have been considering joining the Army Nurse Reserve Corp and am very nervous about following through with the application (especially given the current situation in North Korea...)

Does anybody know how likely it is that the unit I would belong to would not only get activated, but that all the nurses within that unit would HAVE to go to wherever they happen to be deploying us? I know that is the risk, but I was given to understand that one can volunteer to go and that I might not necessarily have to go for a few years. (At least until my youngest child is a bit older and my leaving for a few months might not have as big an implact on the family life). However, that info was given to me by the recruiter...
