Mass license reinstatement

Nurses Recovery

Published

Hi

Wondering if anybody has any information here. Back in 2008 I was reported to the board of nursing for a large number of narcotic waste. I won't go into all detail but these were all witnessed by other nurses as per policy. My license was then put on a probationary period after hiring a lawyer and spending a lot of money. However probation consisted of paper work being filled out quarterly I believe . Long story short I became pregnant with my second child it was a rough pregnancy on top of that the physician who I was working for had to close one of his offices and I was laid off. Needless to say I did not finish my commitment to the probationary. Because of this and my license was suspended officially in November 2012. I have never had a narcotic problem so therefore have never been part of a recovery program. I'm looking to reinstate my license and wondering first of all if it's possible and second of all if anyone has done so in Massachusetts. Also apparently the attorney I had originally it's considered a part of top form for mass nurses. He did in fact managed to get my license put on a probationary. However he was not great about returning calls and keeping in touch with the board on my behalf despite me being told that he should be the only contact with the board and that I should not attempt to contact without the lawyer.
