Hi, My name is Jennifer I have been a nurse 3 years and in the program almost 1 year. I have had alot of financial problems as well as marriage problems. I have just found a job 3wks ago and am starting al over again with becoming compliant with the nursing board. Nervous about not knowing the outcome from being non-compliant. My meeting date is this Wednesday with the board!!!. Please Help!!! I love nursing. I love feeling good about what I do but I need emotional support!!

So how did the meeting go? I'm sorry I diddn't see this sooner. Focus on your recovery and you'll be able to face all other challenges. Take your time. Find someone you trust (like a sponsor) and seek their counsel. Don't make rash decisions. Dealing with the board isn't the same as a code blue...snap judgements don't have to be made. Depending on the circumstances, you may need to retain legal counsel. Hasty, uninformed decisions can lead to permanent restrictions on your license.

Hang in there!

Hi Jack,

When you say hasty decisions. I have made due to being overwhelmed and scared. The day I signed, I believe I upset the person at the board with the questions asked. I honestly didnt understand all the legal things. I have a 5 yrs restriction on my license. I have been unemployed for the past 10 months until now. I have a job working for the state. My concern, Not knowing the outcome because I have not been able to pay firstlab until now. My meeting today. I will know how I stand.. I have had and still have alot of marriage problems which I have no support financially from my spouse... That alone has bothered me soooo!!! Knowing that he could help me but choose not too... Im praying they will be understanding and not take my license!!!!!! Please keep me in your prayers and your thoughts!!!!
