I am reaching out to you because my school is working on an awareness campaign for nurses with disabilities and are looking for nurses to share their stories. We would love to hear your experiences! Instructions on how to submit your story is included.
Thank you,

The Nurses and Doctors with Disabilities Project
Nurses with disabilities join with doctors with disabilities to increase visibility and awareness!!
What:
The goal of the #NurseswithDisabilities and DocsWithDisabilities Project is to share stories from the professional journeys of nurses and physicians with disabilities, in their own words. By featuring the real voices of nurses and physicians with disabilities--including their struggles and successes--we hope to foster awareness, visibility, and community that brings together stakeholders from across nursing and medical education, clinical practice, and disability advocacy.
Who:
The project is volunteer led, by a tight-knit group of clinicians, health educators and administrators, and advocates, with and without disabilities. Initiated by the University of Michigan Medical School's Department of Family Medicine, this is a joint project between the University of Michigan and the MGH Institute of Health Professions School of Nursing.
What you can do:
Please share your experiences with others via Twitter or Instagram by submitting your thoughts to the Nurses with Disabilities Project; please fill out this online form: Nurses with Disabilities - Formstack. Once we have received your submission, we will be in touch with you directly to approve the content before it is shared publicly on the MGH Institute of Health Professions social media channels. We are grateful to you for sharing your story and contributing to this important campaign to build awareness and support for Nurses with Disabilities.
