What do you do when a you call a family member following a statement made by a femal dementia patient, and you follow the protocal and want to send her to the hospital for evaluation, you make a call and inform them that have to send the patient to the hsopital and they start yelling and screaming asking you your name repeatedly and threatening that you will lose your job if you send her to the hospital repeatedly making this statement, like extremely aggressive and hostile outburst for long. I consider is threat, intimidation verbal abuse. It made me fearful and I feel threatened. I filed police complaint for the patient's statement. you think I think I file or request the management to file police complaint for the threat I received over the phone. I have documented everything in the computer. So there is strong documentation and I plan to do an incident report. I feel that if nothing is done. This behavior will only escalate and god knows what they r capable of doing. I need advice.
