Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) at Pace University

I just got back from the orientation at Pace University's Pleasantville, NY campus for their FNP degree. I was wondering if anyone reading this has gone through this program or is currently enrolled, and if they could please answer the following:

1) At the orientation they illustrated a 42-credit program taking two and a half years, including summers. This seems to me to be very slow; Columbia's FNP program, for example, is 50 credits long and takes 18 months including summer. Can this be accelerated?

2) How is the quality of the education and faculty?
