Hey everyone! Hope you are all healthy and happy. So I’ve been a nurse for 10 years mostly ICU and CVICU. I HAVE to get away from the bedside. A few months ago I applied to NP school. Well prior to being a nurse I was a paralegal. My old law form has offered me a pretty decent job but it’s completely out of the medical field. It is a very small firm with great people. I’m trying to decide if I should leave nursing completely and not look back, or if I should go to NP school. I just got my acceptance letter last week. Obviously I would make more money as an NP. Of course going to work is ultimately for the paycheck but I value work/life balance tremendously. So that plays a huge factor. I’m 40, married and have 2 kiddos. Thanks for your opinion!
