Hello! I’m currently in school for FNP. Just wanted to ask if some NP’s practicing in LA are able to work independently or start their on practice? thanks guys!

Los Angeles as compared to the rest of California? Gov Newsom signed AB 890 which removes the requirement for "standardized procedures" - California's term for NP-physician collaborative agreement with laundry list of "procedures" the NP can perform. However, enforcement won't start until 2023 and implementation guidelines aren't known yet. AANP is a critic of the bill.
