Northern Arizona University (NAU) ABSN Program

Hey everyone! Just wondering how many of you are applying to the Accelerated BSN program at NAU this application cycle. I figured I'd start a post to see who will be applying and if you would like to share your Kaplan score and GPA.

I have a 3.85 and I have not taken the Kaplan yet. I am registered to take it on January 12 2021.

I applied as well and take my test on Jan 9th. I have a 4.0 in all the courses they consider for the program.

Nice! I take my test on January 12th. How are you studying for the exam? And have you taken the Kaplan before?

I have not taken it before. I have an older Kaplan study book so I have been using that. Quizlet is also awesome because so many people have made study guides for it already.

Nice! And I am using the Kaplan study book as well I bought the old one and the new one and they’re exactly the same ??‍♀️ So don’t buy the new one.

That’s what I’ve found out! Haha. I’ve been out of school since May, so I’ve just been freshening up on everything. I graduated from NAU with my degree in biomed.

OMG that’s awesome! I’m actually graduating in May with a degree in Biomed haha

I'm interested in applying. Do you think it's too late? If not, then do I turn in an application first? And when selecting a term start date, do we select the earliest term? Or the term when we plan to start? 

Sorry for all of the questions haha

No worries! Unfortunately, I believe it is too late to apply. NAU added a new requirement which is the CASPer exam. The last date to take the CASPer exam was on December 10th (within the application cycle) and the next date is January 17th. According to their website, the application deadline is January 10th and the CASPer & Kaplan deadline is January 15th. 
 

Also, NAU only has one application cycle for the ABSN program and the program starts every Summer. So, the application will open up again in November next year. However, you could talk to them and see if you could possibly get another CASPer exam. But, I’m not sure if it’s possible ?
