Northeast Georgia/Gainesville

Published

Hi! I'm in the beginning of my search for employment in Georgia.

The plan is to move there at the beginning of summer, end of May 2011.

Braselton will be my home, but I know that Gainesville is near and has

Northeast Georgia there.

Does anyone on AllNurses work there or know of someone who does

that can give me direction on getting my foot in the door and

hopefully getting an interview? Am looking for a future promise of hire,

and would like to connect with their recruiter.

(I need the job promise ahead of time for a legal edge on my child custody

petition for relocation, I'm a single Mom to a 9yr old son).

Is Northeast a good hospital to work for? Employees treated well,

benefits good? Nurse/Patient ratio reputation?

Also, how much can I expect to be offered with 5 yrs clinical

experience? I'm a older nurse ('50s), that has come back to

work recently after many, many years of being at home raising kids.

Would also like to know of other health, medical facilities in

that area that I can look up specifically and consider for possibilities

of resumes and introduction on my next trip up there.

My experience has been Hematology/Oncology, and Med/Surg,

although would love to get into Mother/Baby and/or another

specialty clinical area of the hospital such as Cath Lab or GI.

Ultimately, I'd like to work with a Family Practice that focuses

on prevention and is pro-active with alternative practices also.

Right now though, I just need to get myself a job to facilitate

the move and would think that the hospital would be more apt

to have an opening and pay that I need. Outpatient clinic

would be great too!

.

Thanks for all who reach out to help!

Hi! I've been doing clinicals at Northeast GA for a very long time (it seems like, hehe). I think you would enjoy working there, they have an oncology/nephrology floor, and the nurses there are very very nice! Have a big heart center too, and cath lab. In oncology the ratio I believe is usually 4:1. There is entire separate womens pavilion for mother baby/L&D/NICU etc. In the area there are lots of outpatient treatments of all kinds, LTC, a lactation center, rehab, everything!! Good luck!!!
