I just received two competing offers to work as a psychiatric nurse in New York. I'm a new grad and I know this is a great predicament to be in but any and all advice would be appreciated! Does anyone have any input on the reputations for psych nursing at North Shore LIJ and at NYU? I am trying to decide between the two but want to base my decision on how well each hospital is known for their psych departments and the type of experience I will get as a new nurse at each campus.
Thanks!

Congrats on such a wonderful opportunity. I am currently in the same situation. i have been offered a position in the ED fellowship at NSLIJ and a position at NYU. Im not sure what to decide. What did you end up doing?
Hi payw,
I am unable to send you a private message I guess because I just joined the site. I interviewed with the HR nursing recruiter today and she set me up with a second interview to meet with the director of the ED fellowship a couple hours later (so I did 2 interviews in one day). I interviewed with the director for NSLIJ at Manhasset. I know that the next class starts on Monday 01/26 and I think because I just interviewed and haven't gone through a background check and physical I will not be considered for that class. I may have to wait for the next class with I think starts in April (but I am not too sure about that).
