Hey all,

It has been a LONG time since I have posted. School and personal responsibilities have kept me BUSY.........Anyway, I have made it!!! I will graduate with my RN May 06 .I was wanting to know from a personal perspective how people who are working as RNs in the Asheville area felt about their place of employment. I know this is personal and if it is to personal I understand. I would like to get a head's up on perspective work places. I AM NOT talking about pay. I am talking about the overall work enviroment and patient to nurse ratios. I want to work where I can really make a difference for the patients I care for. Thank you for your time-(lifelong NC resident by the grace of God.:chuckle )

Hi!!!

Just curious I live in MI and I will graduate in May 06. I really want to relocate to NC, but I was disappointed with the starting pay. Can someone verify for me if 18.00 is the starting pay??? I have heard so many good things about NC. Thank you.

I can verify for new grads across the state 18-19 dollar/hr is about right for the state. The cost of living is low, however, depending on where you live, the cost of living is shockingly low. Raleigh though is not shockingly low, just normal low.
