The NLNAC has posted their most recent commissions actions and two well known and well respected programs were renewed with conditions and a follow-up. Does anyone that currently attends one of these schools know where their school was deficient or what NLNAC Standards and Criteria were not met? Yes, I understand their NLNAC accreditation will continue, but is it contingent upon the follow-up? Just wondering. I do not currently attend either school, but did take Ivy Tech classes in the past and have considered sending one of my kids there.

I wouldnt think much of it since about 50% of all schools were given that status. Also it appears as if only one school was actually denied after appeal and everyone else continued after their follow up.

I'm not sure. As far as Ivy Tech is concerned, maybe it has something to do with that national study it's participating in?

Most of the time it is due to not have fully qualified faculty. For example, adjuncts and full time faculty need to have a MSN. Not all schools do.
what? why would they hire people without MSNs when it's required that everyone teaching there have one?
I talked to Ivy Tech Staff yesterday at Indy and that is what the deal is with them at this time. They are currently making all BSN staff get their MSN.
