I'm about to start sophomore year of college, and am a pre-nursing major at OCC (a community college in skokie/chicago). I'm planning to apply to colleges like Loyola, UIC and other nursing schools and am entirely confused about what and how I need to take them. I've seen the NET and NLN test... i've seen them mentioned but i have no idea what schools require them and even if they dont and you take them do they take that into consideration ?
Help please.

It depends on which schools you apply for. I applied to a community college in the far north suburbs that required the NLN, but I've seen lots of schools who use the NET. You would really need to check out the requirements for each school. I'm almost sure all nursing schools require some sort of entrance exam. How they weigh it in the application process also depends on the school. Where I applied I know that pretty much the only thing they look for is the NLN scores.
Good luck!
