Hey everyone, I was wondering does anyone have to take the NLN entrance exam before they apply for the ADN program? If so, do you know what study guide I can get to achieve a great score on the exam?

Hi! I saw you were from Memphis. Are you planning on attending Southwest? If you are, then you need to take the NLN entrance exam. There is a study guide called the Review Guide for RN pre-entrance exam by Mary E. McDonald. I got mine off amazon for $25.

Thanks Kelly I really appreciate the info. Yes I am going to attend Southwest. I'm at Northwest right now though. I hope to enter the program by spring 2010. So do you attend Southwest? If so how is it? How was the entrance exam? How is the whole entering thing? I'm sorry, I'm eager to know alot so I can prepare myself better.

Right now I am just taking some general ed courses there. I took the 7 week music and oral speech at the millington center. They were very easy. I am taking the NLN tomorrow morning, and I am so nervous. I will let you know how it went. After I take it, I just have to submit everything to them and see if I get accepted. From what I hear, they only accept the top 60 with the highest index score. The index score consists of your pre-reqs, your grades/GPA and the score on the NLN. If I could afford to go to the university of memphis, or baptist, I would. But for now I will just cross my fingers!
