I need to take an NLN ACEI test to get into a local bridge program. It involves OB/Gyn and Peds and general nursing care. I didn't have much of an OB rotation, so I was wondering if anyone had taken this test, or knows of any great study material for this. I have an NCLEX book but didn't know if that is what I should be focusing on. Thanks!

I also recently took the OB/PEDS portion of the NLN test. So close but no passing score. Did you get your results back yet?
I still haven't received my results in the mail, so I called the school and asked them how long it usually takes, it will be 2 weeks tomorrow. They actually had received my results! Passing score on the OB/Peds portion is 65, and I squeeked out a 69! And passing on the foundations part is 79, got an 83. So yes, I passed, but BARELY! Good luck to you...

I would also like to know if there is a good review for this test. I have to take it this summer and I am very worried. I've been an LPN for a LONG time and I don't remember and of the OB/PEDs stuff.
Whose got good tips for this test? :plsebeg:

I'm also studying for the OB/Peds section of ACE 1. I'm studying my ATI OB and Peds books Nursing Care Of Children & Maternal Health In Nursing. I got them in the LPN program but you can find them at ATItesting.com or maybe also Amazon.com. I think they are an excellent review of the topics covered in class. They worked great for me when I took the fundamentals section of the ACE test. I'm also using the NCLEX 3000 for practice questions.
If anyone has taken this test, some insight would really help. So please say more than "I took the test and passed, yeah for me".

What exactly is this test? I am graduating in two weeks as an LPN and going onto attaining my RN in August. Our class had to take this "pre-NCLEX" exam in where were given 3hrs to answer 180 questions....it had no relevance as to whether or not we could sit for boards or pass the program, unlike some of the other students I have heard from concerning their programs. Is this similar to what your talking about? I forgot the name for this exam...I'll have to get that info. We could automatically print out our results as soon as we were finished so I'm thinking this is different from what you all are talking about....I did get a 98% on it though, so I was psyched! There were about five ?'s on OB and several on peds. Since these two are my strengths I did great in both of them. However, when it came to the endocrine diseases, I found out that I'll definately have to brush up on that subject!

i've been an lpn for 20 years (wow, i'm old...) and took the ace tests (ob and peds) so that i didn't have to do nursing classes for our rn program....which meant that i shaved a whole year of nursing classes off of my schedule. i work in ltc, so those areas were way out of my realm, but i studied the ati books and an nclex book. i passed both tests in the 90th percentile, so there must have been some good info in those books!! good luck to all!!

the ace tests are a challenge test from nln that proves our abilities in certain areas, such as ob and/or peds and general nursing. in our program, we didn't have to test out of the general nursing, but did for ob and peds if we wanted to skip those sections. i was the lucky one who passed both, but one gal failed both and one of the guys passed one but not the other. check with your school to see if it's required....all programs are different.
Thanks! I checked it out and yes, as a matter of fact we took them two weeks ago, but just as an FYI for us students to see were we would rank on the NCLEX's and what areas we might need to brush up on. But, we were able to print out our results as soon as we were finished. I scored a 98%, so I think I'll do alright on the NCLEX. Only two more weeks of this and I am done!!! YA-HOOOO!!!! (for now anyway)!!! (LOL)!!!

awesome!!! but i think you're confusing the ati tests with the ace nln tests.....they're two separate things. the ati tests are something you take while you're in a nursing program to do just what you described...determine how you'll probably do on nclex. ace nln tests are what i described above...something that current lpn to rn students or rn to bsn students might take to challenge out of some classes in their new program. anyway, good luck! congrats!

What is good to study for the NLN Ace1 test. I am taking it in March 7 at Miami Dade college and all they told me is to study from the Foundations of Nursing book. Please I am just a Medical Assistant and I do not have the experience that most of you have. I was told that I have to pass this test in order to get into the program in August. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to study on. Thanks :)
