I was wondering if anyone can help me out with a question. I was a pre nursing student at Essex County College in Newark NJ. I have taken all the pre courses needed. I kept hearing nightmare stories from teachers and other nursing students about how competitive it is to actually get into the nursing program. One teacher who designed the point system for the program was telling us about a backdoor way to get into the program. If you take the lpn course and decide you want to become a rn when finished he said you are automatically accepted into the rn program.
After a while of hearing these nightmare stories I decided to apply to Felician College and was automatically accepted into their nursing program without taking a test and they gave a small amount of scholarship money based on my grades.
Heres where my problem is the tuition at Felician is very expensive, I have to take full time classes to get the scholarship money and father time isn't on my side. Its a big load working a full time job, being married and having kids. Does anyone know of a associates degree program that takes transfer nursing students. I have one nursing class under my belt and I"m considered a nursing major. What I'm asking is there a way to back door enter into a associates program by being a nursing major at another school...
Any help or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
