Newbie LPN work on Long Island?

Nurses LPN/LVN

...And I have had no luck with the giant catch 22 that is "Must have 1+ year experience" requirement for most of the jobs opening up. Now, I am in a more advantageous position than others. I live with family and they are supporting me for now, so I don't quite need a job that pays the bills just yet. Which means I can take a blow to the ol' salary if it means finally getting some real experience, ya know? While I did pretty well in school, I am still a little under confident about my abilities as far as actually applying all of that theory goes. Any experience I have actually taking care of physical patients came from clinical in school. And my school, while a good school all around, was pretty stingy about clinical time. So I need a job that lets me get that much needed "Must have 1+ year experience" requirement for most of the nursing homes and such on Long Island. Ideally one where I won't be shoved into work with zero preparation & help. Ya, I figure that's probably not going to happen. But I am willing to work for dirt cheap. I just don't know where to look for these entry level jobs. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

Also, sorry for the double post, but I can't seem to put any spaces in that big block of text. Every time I separated that into smaller lines of text, it would always preview as one big block. Very odd....

Where on long island do you want to go? In nassau I believe sun harbor in roslyn hires new grads, you should try central island healthcare in plainview and in suffolk try carillon nursing and rehabilitation in huntington or gurwin jewish in commack. I hope these help you, I'll be keeping my fingers cross. Goodluck!:D

You can try Brandywine Assisted Living Facility. It is located in Greak Neck.
