Grants make up the biggest portion of my financial aid and then subsidized loans cover whats left. I believe for the loans its dependent on what the financial aid office says you are allowed per term and then they put together a package for you. Did you do the fafsa and all that, Im in Ca and thats how it worked for me.
Hello everyone,I have just recently decided to make a career switch into nursing and have just started my pre-req's. I have read a lot of posts so far with people upset that they cannot get any loans or assistance... this concerns me because I would need to heavily rely on financial aid to get through school. It was my understanding that ANYONE could get an unsubsidized stafford loan for school... am I wrong?

If you have defaulted on previous government loans, had a drug conviction, or extensively wrecked credit (think $10K or more of collections, the answer is no.
