New York Presbyterian Hiring Process

Hi! 
 

I'm a new graduate and recently applied to a position at NYP. 
 

I had an interview with HR and then with the Nurse Manager and I think both went well. I got an email for 5 references the next day and they are all completed. Is this a good sign? 
 

Compared to other hospitals I've applied to, they usually ask for references after a job offer has been extended. Does anyone have experience with their hiring process? I just find it a bit odd and time consuming of continuously asking for references without providing a job offer first.

I was hired by NYP in Sept and I went through the same process. I wasn't a new grad, but once I sent my references I was offered the job a week later. I didn't love having to ask management for references before being offered a job but I guess that's the normal now.
