Hi everyone,
I have a question. Okay, I am moving to Orlando in June. I plan on going to Florida Hosptial college of health sciences for nursing school. But, while I'm finishing my pre-req's I want to work as a CNA. The thing is, I will graduate my CNA program here in Chicago in May, but the state boards in Chicago are not until the end of june. I wanted to be moved to Florida by then. I already know that I can just take the boards when I get to Florida, but does anyone know if they offer CNA boards on a regular basis or if there is a specific date that they are given, like in Chicago? I just don't want to be jobless when I get there. Also, does anyone know of the good LTC facilities to apply for a CNA position in Orlando? Thanks so much!! Louisepug

Cut and paste this link.
http://www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa/cna/cna_reciprocity.html
It will take you to the State of FL page regarding reciprocity with other state CNA licenses. If you don't have the license before you move, then go back a page to: http://www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa/cna/cna%5Fhome.html That page will give you all the info you need to get a test date.
There are a ton of LTC facilities in FL. Just look them over and see what's right for you. You might apply at FL Hospital, too.
Thanks so much Nancy! The sites really helped! :) Louisepug
