Nurses General Nursing

Published

I am 23 years old and a male. I just began college and I am going into the nursing field. I am looking into the field a little more trying to see what I should do with nursing. I think I want to be an RN but I dont know if I should specialize in something. Any Ideas for me? Also kinda wanted to get a general idea of what pay scales there are in different fields of nursing. Any information can and will help me. You can email me with information also at [email protected]. Thank you for all your help and taking the time to read this.

Most people don't really choose an RN speciality until after they are almost all the way done with school. I would recommend seeing which clinicals you like the best and trying to get a job in one of those positions. Pay scales are the same in most hospitals regardless of which type of floor you work on. Pay at one of the hospitals I work at In northwest Ohio starts for new grads at $20.20 and the other hospital I work at in Ann Arbor starts at $21.20.

Hope this helps some.
