new NP starting job at nursing home

Hello everyone

Wondering if I could get some advice as I will be starting a new job at a nursing home (recent grad ANP 5/2013). I am wrapping up with my direct hours (500) and will begin my unsupervised hours (1000) in early Feb. Although I feel that the direct hours of supervision were very helpful in preparing me to this point, I still am nervous at the thought of being on my own. My collaborating MD is easy to get in touch with and seems willing to walk me through difficult clinical decision making. I have a few apps on my phone and some textbooks from school that I use as references. I worry about making mistakes and I would like to be as prepared as possible. Can anyone relate to being nervous and if so, what helped you become more confident as an NP? I would be interested in hearing about any resources that are helpful for anyone works with post acute nursing home pts/older adults. Maybe I just need to put my big girl panties on and just get to it lol!! But seriously, if anyone has any advice, I would really appreciate the input.

Thank you & hope you're staying warm out there :)
