Once you've got your license, you shouldn't have any trouble getting a job as a nurse. Not sure which hospitals down there hire LPNs or for what kind of positions, but you should be eligible for any LPN job.
You may have to hire on for a nursing internship or take a refresher course, depending on how long you've been out of school. The GA BON should have info about that on their website. If not you can always give them a call.
And Welcome to Allnurses!

Hi Everyone!
I'm new in the Augusta area, up from Miami, Fl. I'm working on getting endorsement from the Georgia Board for my LPN license. I may have a challenge because my official title at the job I just had was Patient Clinical Assistant. It was the first job I had after graduating from nursing school. Any suggestions for what type of position in the health care field I should apply for if I cannot get a nursing position right away? I'm also curious at what refresher courses the board accepts if that is what they want me to do. I sure would appreciate any help I can get. thanks!!!!!
