New graduate RN pay in Richmond

I just graduated RN school last week. I've been an LPN for a year and a half and at current job since Jan '07. I have a few friends that are starting off in the range of $23 dollars and hour. One has been an LPN for the same length as I and another a care parter on a cardiac floor for a year and a half. Should I be expecting this amount as well? If I dont get this amount how should I approach the situation to be able to boost the pay to this amount, without looking greedy for money?

Depends on what shift you work. I interviewed with Bon Secour two weeks ago and they start out about $21 for day shift. I'm not sure if that's the going rate, but it's pretty competitive in Richmond.

I graduate on Wednesday. Congrats!!

I've been a LPN for three years, but this is an exciting step of my life. I'm looking forward to my new, yet someone old, career.
