Hi Everyone!
I'm a new grad RN and just scored my first official nursing job in an Acute Care Psych Facility. I am so excited to not only get a job, but in such an awesome specialty too. I just wanted to say Hi to all the amazing psych workers (RNs/LVNs/Techs...etc.) out there and I know there are a bunch of threads on advice for new grads starting in this field but can anyone recommend a care plan reference that is just for mental-health issues? Thank you!

Just wanted to say congrats. I'm starting nursing school this January and it's so uplifting to hear about new grads finding a job right after graduation :) I've read so many disheartening threads about unemployed new grads that your case is a ray of sun.
Good for you!!
If you don't mind asking what state is this?

Hi Martina! Thank you!! Honestly, I was just ridiculously lucky to get a job. I'm in Northern CA and I'm almost 100% positive that my resume was looked at just because I have a psych degree. Apparently the overall new grad unemployment rate here is like 40% the first year after graduation. I promise I'm not trying to be negative and jobs are out there! But I don't want to downplay how hard it has been for new grads to get jobs. Congrats for getting in to nursing school though!! Remember EVERY clinical is a chance to network!! Good Luck!
