New Grad Residency

I'm graduating in the first week of May, but I'm unsure when I can submit my NCLEX application. Most new grad residency programs I've seen so far start in May, and I'm concerned that I might not be able to take the NCLEX in time. Are there any new grad residency programs starting in the fall? I've heard that not having taken the NCLEX yet might make me less competitive, so I'm looking for advice on how to navigate this.

Hello! Yes, many hospitals have a fall cohort. Torrance Memorial has a fall cohort, where their application opens in June/July for a September start date.

most new grad programs in LA seem to be tailored to a traditional graduation date of May or December, with typical start dates 3 months out from graduation. Unfortunately you just have to search different hospital systems with "new grad RN" in the search to see what's available
