New grad needs advice on jobs

Published

I am in my early 20's fresh out of college with my BSN and have been offered 2 jobs. I have been offered an RN position in a small community, which would allow me to save money/pay loans by living at home. Working here would give a good foundation to begin a nursing career. The other job is at a large hospital, which I would prefer for various reasons, but would of course require living expenses. I want to get out of debt as soon possible and have dreams to pursue my master's in a couple years. I have heard that urban areas pay more for nurses and rural areas pay less....is this true for new grads? Which would put me in better financial shape to pursue my future goals, or would it balance out? I appreciate any thoughts or input. Thank you.
