New grad LPN Starting @ Primary Care

Published

Hi!  I'm a new LPN who just graduated and starts work at a primary care clinic in a few weeks!  I haven't taken the NCLEX yet but I'm studying for it.  Is there any thing I can do to prepare for working in primary care any main MEDICATIONS to review or learn.  Or any DISEASES/CONDITIONS to review.  I'm so nervous!!😱.  I did work on an ambulance previously for over 3 years so I'm not totally new to medical.  I found school very interesting and challenging yet I know the real world is different from school world. Any advice would be so appreciated!

Is this family or internal medicine ? I'm asking, because I found pediatrics more challenging and had to do a lot of reading up on that.

It's family I believe.  They have a pedriatric clinic side and then a 12 and up side that's the side I work on.
