New grad lpn pay and employers

Hello,

I will be completing my LPN program in a few months and wanted to know where some fellow LPNs started out and how the pay was. I am in the Indianapolis area.

In not an LPN but I'm in school with a bunch. Someone told me they made $23. Not for sure her experience or if that included shift differentials. And it's in Indianapolis.

Being a tech def. has nothing to do w/ being an LPN lol. It will not count for anything at all.

I have heard that some places will consider tech experience as "patient care" experience. I'm aware that the scope of practice is completely different. Thanks for your input.

Take it from a former tech , current lpn , and a current RN student. Ive been an LPN for a year. After i graduate & get my RN, when i go to a hospital i wont get paid exra for that. . At a nursing home i will .. Not at a hospital. Again, thats only for lpn-rn.

i wld recommend kindred! Great pay & the rehab is like a med surg! If you like hands on stuff! Great place for new nurses if your not lazy! Also, asc. Stay away from zionsville meadows though. & american village. Nurse:Patient ratio is ridiculous! Gd luck
