New Grad...not enjoying nursing

Published

With all of the posts of people struggling to find work, I hate to complain about this, but it has not gotten better.

I have been an RN for almost a year now. I didn't like it at first, but figured that it would get better as I gained experience and was able to handle the workload better. However, almost a year later I consider myself to be fairly well experienced but I still dislike my job. I find myself dreading going to work, I actually consider calling off often and I have never done that before--ever. I think maybe I should do something other than floor nursing--but what else is there?

Is there anybody else out there who has had this problem? Any suggestions as to what other job oppurtunities are out there for an RN who doesn't want to work on the floor?
