I am brand new to this and hope I'm posting in the right place.. If not, sorry!
I am a new grad, and have been having a tough time finding a job. I recently had an interview (Thursday) for a full time postion on a Geriatric Psych Unit in a local hospital. The very next day, the woman called me to say I had gotten the job, but that they needed me to come in to fill out the Cori check asap (THAT day) in order for me to start orientation Monday (this convo took place Friday).
When I got there to fill out the Cori, HR told me there would be no way to process it on such short notice, and that I'd have to wait for the next orientation which would be in 4-6 weeks.
That was fine, until Monday afternoon I got a call from someone "higher up" than the woman who interviewed me and offered me the job, requesting I come in for a second interview.
If all the paperwork had checked out, I would have started orientation Monday. But because it didn't, now they want to interview me again? What do you think is going on? Im so bummed that I have to get all nervous AGAIN for another interview, especially when I was told I had the job!
Thank You all for your input, I used this site all through nursing school, but never posted anything.. it is a great place to get nursing advice though!
