New CNA trying to find work

Hello everyone I just completed a CNA course here in San Diego county and on December 19, '13 passed the skills and written test. YAY!!! I am so excited. Already received my certificate and looking for work. Now this is where I am seeing how challenging it is to find work. I decided to do CNA first so that once I get into an ASN program and want to work I already have some experience. Seems like no matter where you start it is going to be a challenge. How can I get acute experience if everyone wants 6 months to a year of experience. Even long term care facilities want that much experience. Should I take more classes like phlebotomy, EKG, and maybe an acute care or dialysis tech course? I just want to break into the field whatever it takes. I just quit working (retail) and am signed up for a couple of pre reqs at local cc but if I can't find a job I am willing to take some more courses. My hunny is supportive and since my mom moved in she's a big help with the kids. What's my next step? How did you find your first job in medical field especially in places like San Diego, where there are so many people eager to work?
