New BSN Program. Yes or No

Published

Hi everyone I need your advice and opinion.

I recently applied to a program to a school in the Las Vegas Area and was accepted to their BSN Program. I haven't found much information on the school besides them having another campus in Arizona. The school is called "Arizona College." The Arizona Campus is accredited on BON and CCNE. However, the Las Vegas campus is not. From my understanding no one has graduated yet. It's a 3-year BSN accelerated program and tuition is roughly 85-90K. It's on the steep end. I've checked BON and it states that the school is "Provisional Or Conditional" approved. In addition I read on CCNE website that the school have applied for the accredition.

What do you guys think about this program? I'm at point where I cannot afford to wait 1-3 years to be accepted into a program. This is a good opportunity for me to get my foot into the door.

Hello. this response is a bit late but not for other prospective student(s). I called AZ College of Las Vegas campus last week of Oct or Nov 2017 and I voiced my concern about not being CCNE accredited. They had me talk to the dean of campus.

RE: FULL ACCREDITATION depends on how their first students do when they take their NCLEX exam on May 2018 or after (first students will graduate on May 2018)

RE: CCNE ACCREDITATION:

I was told if they get awarded CCNE accreditation on May 2018, the students who enrolled in October 2017 or after will be CCNE accredited.

(Their Glendale, AZ campus did get CCNE accredited two years after they opened the school).

RE: BSN

I'm not enrolled at this school, so I would not be able to comment anything about it.
