new army nurse picking top 3 places

I commissioned into the Army for active duty about 3-4 weeks ago.. my recruiter told me he jsut put down 3 medcens for me when he finished my application (ones that i had nothing to do with picking and dont want)... if they are beginning to work on my orders r they working on placing me at one of these 3? He told me that it doesnt really matter what you pick for your top 3 b/c they will call you and ask you where you want to go.. (then wats the point of picking a top 3?) Can anyone give me insight on how this process really went with them? Do they call you and ask where you want to go? or will they call me and say you are going to your top pick?

Although I am seeking a commission into the Army Reserves Nurse Corps, my recruiter requested three locations as well to pre-qualify an opening at the base I ultimately chose to be assigned to.

(Most likely) He/she wants to call ahead and make positive an available slot for you to at least one base of your choosing.
