A new grad relocating needs advice

U.S.A. Nevada

Hi all,

I graduate with my BSN tomorrow!(:D:D) and my husband is pursuing an accounting job in the Las Vegas area. Truthfully, I'm a little scared because I'm from Pennsylvania and I know there are plenty of new grads out in Vegas right now, ready to hit the ground running! So, locals, would you mind helping a (possible) newbie out and telling me which hospitals will even look at a new grad? I did my own searches and found the Valley Health System - most of my applications are in that ever-so-depressing "no longer being considered" stage. I'm looking for a med-surg position and, as a new graduate, I'm not picky about location or salary. Are there any new grad RN residencies that I should look into? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone! :nurse::)

My apologies, guys! After reading a bit on this board I realize that this has been posted a million and one times in different ways. It looks like I shouldn't follow my husband to a job in Vegas; rather, he should follow me to a nursing job - wherever I can find one. LOL. If anyone has any input I'd still love to hear it, but I know you've read this same kind of post over and over so I won't be offended if you ignore it! :lol2:
