I take the HESI A2 Exam on August 25th, and I'm super nervous about it!!!.. I've been studying since the start of this month and I feel I know a great deal of material ,but there's always the anxiety of oh my goodness this Exam is going to be extremely hard!!!... Has anyone here taken the HESI before?... Was it harder or easier than what expected?...

I took the HESI last week. First of all, let me tell you to calm down. The test was harder than I expected however it was manageable. Studies for a little under 2 weeks. My advice is once the material is mastered do as many practice questions as possible.

Thank you for the advice!.... If you don't mind me asking, what materials helped you study?..also what were your scores on each section you had to take?

Specializes in ICU.

ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY (84%)

MATH (92%)

GRAMMAR (78%) *Worst Section* - Master this section.

VOCABULARY (96%)

READING (92%)

CRITICAL THINKING (800)

Composite Score: 88.4%

To prepare for the exam, I used 2 Books.

- HESI Assessment Exam Review, 4TH Edition ($40)

- Human Anatomy & Physiology (Marieb, Human Anatomy & Physiology) - I had since undergrad.

I took mine today, it really wasn't that bad at all.

I got an accumulative score of 91.60%

math: 96 (KNOW YOUR PROPORTIONS AND FRACTIONS!)

reading: 90

grammar: 86 (hardest section in my opinion)

vocab: 94 (I think I was Lucky here, a lot of words you hear in day to day life or could figure it from the sentence it was used in)

AP: 92 ( I just finished both my AP1/2 courses so everything was pretty fresh. Know the skeletal, muscular, endocrine systems. You don't need to know anything super in debt, but have a general understanding. I used crash course YouTube playlist And the pocket prep app)

critical thinking: 870/1000

you up have plenty of time to get ready, I went through the hesi study guide then did the pocket prep pretty much every day for a month. It will really help you understand what the questions are going to be like. Take a deep breath, study, and you'll be just fine.

Best of luck to you!
