I'm possibly moving to the Charlottesville/Richmond area this summer. I will be a new RN (been a LPN for a few years prior) and am looking for a job that will not only benefit me in where I want to go with my career, but will be a place that can help me get there.
I'm wondering if VCU or UVA have sign-on bonuses or anything like that to offer. I don't find any info on the websites I've been to, but it would help to have moving expenses paid and such.
I'm looking into getting in the cardiac field but may have to settle with a MS offer until I get that first year experience. Any advice you can give would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Bumping this for info.

Um, I got job offers to both hospitals. VCU pays about 19 something starting and UVA pays 42,328 for ADN New grads and 43,804.80 for the BSN new grad. UVA offers 4 to 6 months of orientation depending on the unit, and VCU only offered I think about two or three months for all units. However, both are supposed to be really great hospitals. I say apply to both and make sure you shadow and then choose from there. Good luck to you!
