need a piece of advice about case presentation

Published

hello everyone.. good evening!

i really need your advice on what to do during case presentation.. I dont know what to do especially when our Clinical instructor would ask us a lot of things & we could not relate & justify it..

Hope we could have the courage to face it.. Still not ready & prepared..:o

This is somewhat vague. Are you asking for advice on how to give a presentation or for information on the subject of the presentation.

If #1 - make sure you have the facts of your presentation down. Pt, age, dx, hx, rx, any prior surgical procedures, relevant labs, etc. Explain things in order. When practicing your presentation have someone there to ask questions. If you don't know the answer, find out. When asked questions during your presentation that you don't know the answer to you have 2 choices - either relate answer in order of safety (we did this due to airway problems, we did this due to circulatory problems) or if some specific piece of knowledge you don't know (how does this electrolyte impact cellular movement) admit you don't know and will either research or ask others for answers.

If #2 - what subject are you presenting on.

Remember in school this should be a learning process. If you knew everything why would you be in school?

Hope this helps,
