Hello everyone! My name is Angi and I am a pre-nursing student. I have been accepted into the accelerated program at Oakland University by Detroit, MI. BUT---my husband is taking a job in South Dakota and leaving by the end of the summer. I am in the position of deciding to stay and finish my program (Starts January 2011 and ends January 2012) or transfer to a university in SD. Here's my dilemma....I found a univ. in SD that is perfect, except their nursing program is new and not accredited yet. The program starts January 2011 and is 15 months. In November 2010 they will be looked at to see if they meet the requirements of being accredited and the university will know by march 2011 if the nursing program is accredited. SO...take the chance at the non-accredited one (and hope they get accredited) or live a year and a half without my husband?
I am also looking into other universities out there. But it looks like I will be putting myself back anywhere form 9 mos to a year
Thanks everyone!

Don't enroll in any program that isn't currently accredited. You're potentially wasting your time and money on a gamble like that. Either find an accredited program in SD or stay for the duration of the one in Detroit.
