Need information on Tampa facilities

Published

Hi there fellow nurses. I am new to this online nursing community so please forgive me if I am posting this in the wrong place. I am a new nursing graduate looking for employment in the acute care setting. I am from Florida, and I am looking for employment in the Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Largo, Brandon area. I am not originally from this area of Florida, so I have absolutely no idea what kind of facility I would be walking into. So my question to my fellow nursing friends is: do any of you work at a facility in this area? If so, what is your feedback on the facility? Do you feel like it is a good fit for a new grad nurse? If nobody works at a facility in this area, has anyone heard anything specifically positive or negative about any one facility in this area. I am so nervous moving to a new city and walking into a facility that I have no knowledge of. If anyone has any input or advice I would really appreciate it. Thanks! :)

I work at a great hospital in Sarasota which is pretty close to Tampa. It is a magnet facility and has a nurse residency program for new nurses.

Thank you so much for replying. I decided to accept a position with another facility after getting a great impression from the CNO.
