Well, I got my letter, that is the good news! Accepted to community college for the ADN program, fifty slots out of 700 applications and I made it.
My problem is I haven't heard great things about this particular school. The instructors making it harder than it has to be, nurses not wanting to give you the time of day at clinicals, and all the 4.0 students barely passing classes.
So, I have to decide if I want to apply for a BSN program. If I do that, I will have to pass on the ADN program and finish all my prereqs- 18 hours this fall, so that I have them all done when the application is due in January. Also, instead of starting this fall (ADN), I will have to wait until fall 07 (for the BSN).
I don't know what to do. I am not sure how hard it is to get into University of Texas at Houston, nor how good of a program it is. I don't want to get C's at the community college and ruin my chances of getting into the BSN later. Where do I get more information on that school's program?
THANKS!

I'm a BSN student at UTHSC at san antonio so I don't know about houston, but have you tried their website? I know our school has a pretty good website with lots of info about admissions and stuff. Also, they may have an academic Dean who you could make an appointment with possibly. Best of luck!
