Need info on Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health

Has anyone attended or is currently attending Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health for the ADN program? I was wondering how you feel about the curriculum, faculty, and your overall experience there. It's one of the nursing schools that I'm considering applying to for the Spring semester. I have been in health care for awhile, but have not met a graduate yet from this program. Thanks for your help!

I graduated from this school in 1981, and worked as a critical care RN for three years after that. I don't know if you care about the thoughts of someone as ancient as I, but I would be happy to answer any questions you have (e-mail: [email protected], telephone 309-766-0654).

Basically, the school is recognized for providing students with extraordinarily comprehensive clinical training, but weaker accademics than many other schools.

You can compare statistics on what percentage of graduates from all California schools of nursing pass the licensing board examinations here: http://www.rn.ca.gov/schools/passrates.shtml.
