I am looking at moving back to Davenport with my family. I can't locate any of my classmates from 99 at Scott. I can advance in the interview process for Dept. of Corrections but the kicker is my IA license needs to be active. I used my AZ address on my reactivation packet and the IA board told me it can only go to IA address. My IA license has been inactive since 02. IA board has sent my paperwork back and understands my dillema but thats what they require for residency!! I need my board paperwork to go to a IA address preferably Davenport. Active AZ license or not that's the rules for state employment. I would fly back and change state's for drivers license but they WILL NOT mail it out of state. Open to suggestions.

Does this requirement apply only to state employees? Or is it because both AZ and IA are compact states? I have endorsed my license from IL to 4 different states, applying prior to each move, and never had any difficulty with qualifying for licensure from out of state, or having a license mailed to me out of state. I simply changed my address with the BON once I moved.
I feel for you. This is nuts!

You usually have from my understanding a 30 day grace period between compacts, this is not the case with state employment in Iowa. They need my active Iowa license, I need a location in Iowa to send that license. I need the license to have the job to justify me moving back to Iowa! What a conundrum! P.S. we have a great deal on our home in West Phoenix. ha ha.
The problem is fixed and thanks for the feedback!!:balloons:
