Hi!!
My pt is a 62 y/o M that came in with dehydration and malnutrition dx: Diverticulitis w/ colon resection, second dx: Partial bowel obstruction. Pt was previously admitted 3 weeks ago went home and came back to hospital very thin, frail and malnourished. Pt c/o pain around incision site, nausea, poor appetite and was put on TPN w/ a clear liquid diet.
Im having trouble and have no idea where to even start. Any possible ideas would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!

Thanks for your help...
So far i have is to keep the pt on a clear liquid diet and progressively add a low fiber diet once the diverticulitis starts to heal. But i forgot to mention my pt also has 2 fistulas one connected to a low continuous wall suction and the other connected to a colostomy bag, im not sure if that would require a different type of diet?
