Need Help with PHARM ATI!

Hello! I am a first year nursing student in a BSN program that incorporates ATI into our courses. My school currently requires a level 2 (at least a 71) to pass our pharm ATI exam.

I am studying as hard as I can and am utilizing the practice ATI exams (both A and B), the quiz and the practice final. The first two practice exams I made around a 50 (which was before I studied chemo drugs and antibiotics) and was wondering if anyone found these exams to be helpful for the final. I am taking these exams and am also taking notes from EACH ANSWER option because they may ask about other drugs, symptoms, etc.

If anyone has any advice about the pharm ATI, especially if the practice exams helped, it would be greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,

A stressed out nursing student

P.S. My exam is on Dec 5th

I have no real idea about the ATI but generally speaking I found it helpful to do some practice tests to understand the testing format and content. It does not replace memorizing and understanding what is behind the medication/science. If you understand the science behind a medication or why it is addressing and targeting a certain problem you will also understand the side effects and everything else more easily.

Thank you very much for your reply. And I agree, studying the science behind the medication is most helpful. Like knowing what effects cholinergic drugs have, diuretics and HOW it works makes it much easier than trying to remember tons of random side effects. There will be a lot that you have to straight up memorize, because that is the beast of pharm, but knowing the mechanism does help alot.
