Specializes in OR, and more recently PACU and SDC.
Since returning from the US, more than 2 years ago, I am constantly facing animosity about my practises in the OR. Most of the time I slough off the negative comments but sometimes I would like to be able to slap down an article or document to support my stance. I have been a member of AORN since 1999 and believe in evidence based practice. Here in Canada, the periop equivalent is ORNAC. I find it very difficult to find information and statements to help support what I am doing. And, what I seem to be able to find, all has references back to AORN and some out of date, out of print textbooks. I'd really like to help bring things up to speed here and put some cows out to pasture. Thanks for any help.
