Need help with HFAP accreditation

Hi there,

I have been around the block a few times and have been through Jchao surveys and through DNV surveys. The facility I am working for has just asked me to help them gain HFAP accreditation. I have never heard of HFAP and so have never prepared for one of their surveys. Does anyone have any hints, comments, pointers....anything??

    HFAP is just another accrediting agency that can be used instead of JCAHO to do the survey for CMS. It will follow the same CMS measures. We just finished CARF in one part of the hospital and the state at the other end. JCAHO (or HFAP) could pop in now to make it a real party.
