Need Help Choosing the Right ABSN Program

Published

Hi everyone! I am new to this website (which seems like a great resource!) and currently working on my prereqs needed in order to apply to ABSN programs. In addition I am trying very hard to find the right ABSN program for me. I am looking for overall a decent experience- where the students feel supported, the faculty is strong and truly cares about the students' success, and isn't impossibly difficult for no reason. I know most programs are extremely difficult but I'm wondering if anyone out there had a relatively good experience with their ABSN program. I am open to anywhere in the country really (although I am currently in CA), and I can wait for a period of time if need be.

Some of the programs I'm considering as of now include:

- Concordia Irvine

- VCU

- Loyola of Chicago (Maywood, IL)

- Villanova

- Thomas Jefferson (the 24 month track)

- Cal State Northridge

- University of SF - Orange

- Mount St. Mary (LA)

- Creighton (AZ)

- Cal State LA

Has anyone had either good or really bad experiences with any of the above programs? Or do you have other recommendations I should look at? Any and all advice would be very much appreciated. This is pretty overwhelming to figure out and I really don't want to end up in a miserable program if I don't have to. Thank you so much in advance! ❤️
