Need your advice - Is it doable?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum and found it's extremely helpful. I need to hear this from you all. I have been out of school for 5 years with a BA Degree in Psychology and am ready to go back to school in Jan 2010 to start my pre-reqs. for nusrsing school at GoldenWest College. All the pre-reqs that I need to take are Anatomy (4 units including lab), Physiology (4 units including lab) and Micro-bio (5 units including lab) before applying its program. I plan to quit my job and go back full time and take all three classes in one semester altogether then hoping to get accepted in the Fall 2010. Do you think it's doable? I'm mostly an "A" student when i were in college but when i spoke to GWC counselor today and feel so discourge. She told that she's never seen any student that did a good job trying to take all above three classes at the same time, unless, i'm a scientist genious. She told me there is no point for me to quit my job and i should take one class at a time since there is no guarantee that i will get into the program after i've completed all the pre-reqs, and mostly it's a standard that a student would have to wait for two years before getting accepted. Is this true? Have anyone did this before and sucessful at it. I'd love to hear from you and. Thank you
